The Fort Ramgarh resonates with a glorious 355-year history. Its rulers were Chandel Rajputs who came to the plains from Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh. They were descendants of Chandel dynasty whose empire extended over the entire Central India from 800 to 1182 A.D.
ACCOMMODATION: Lattice work and mirror mosaics adorn the interiors of the Fort. The living areas are synonymous with hospitality. All the rooms and suites have been exquisitely laid out for the connoisseurs' refined eye.
Delxue Room: The luxurious deluxe rooms, some of them carved out of nine-foot thick walls, overlooking a cosy lawn and a typically Indian courtyard have intricate frescos hand painted on their ceilings.
TREE HOUSE: Perched atop a banyan tree is Machaan, a well-appointed treehouse, complete with an attached bathroom. Once you climb its rope ladder and close the door of your air-conditioned log-hut that sways gently with the tree in the breeze, a childhood dream comes alive for you and your family members.
DINING: Dastar Khan-The Restaurant - Fort Ramgarh is the first and onloy Heritage hotel in Chandigarh which serves purely vegetarian foor and only non alcoholic beverates.
